The next rider under the spotlight is our Slovenian downhiller and climb/hill helper Andraž Krajnc.
First of all Andraž, how has your career changed since joining Bilsky from Jumentus CT?
Of course Jumentus CT is a top quality team but I prefer riding for a team like Bilsky. At Bilsky everyone in the team is close and we are all friends off the bike. This helps create a good atmosphere when we are racing.
What do you think will happen to the team in future?
This question has been asked to riders in the spotlight before. I'm going to be a bit more realistic than the likes of Philip!! Our equipment isn't on the same level as those at the top level making it very difficult for us. This means we have to focus on lower division classics with Robby and Nick and maybe sneak into some division 6 tours.
What was the feeling in the team when Brooke retired earlier this season?
It was hard for everyone in the team setup. Brooke was a fantastic rider during his career and it was sad to not have him on the team bus. However it is important the team moves on and makes the most of his help as a trainer. Younger riders such as Ian and Aroghetto can learn a lot from him and his experience from what he achieved in the famous Bilsky jersey!
Thanks for the interview Andraž!

"We are a team that lacks the resources of those in the higher divisions"
With over 500k $ in cash I dont think this is a fair statement... :-)
